Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederic Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is Run this Town. A fine choice. Laurent has chosen Tropa de Elite as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Laurent sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Diaz with a poor takedown
and Laurent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz has his takedown stuffed
and Diaz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Laurent counters with a stiff right hand.
Diaz fails with the takedown
enabling Laurent to counter with a crisp jab.
Laurent comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

and Laurent counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diaz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Diaz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Laurent counters with a huge left! Diaz is in big trouble! He's backing up but Laurent isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Diaz from any more damage. A dominating finish by Laurent!
