And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eino Kivi!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musasi is looking to land body kicks.
Musasi is looking to score with low kicks.
Musasi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kivi misses with a hook
and Musasi counters with a good low kick that Kivi was not able to check.
Kivi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Musasi throws out the jab.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Musasi.

Musasi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kivi sprawls well initially but Musasi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Musasi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Kivi is defending against the submission attempts here by Musasi.
Musasi trying to pass the guard but Kivi defending well.

Musasi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Musasi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Musasi prevents Kivi from improving his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kivi wants to improve his position but Musasi is controlling well.
Musasi is keen to just control but Kivi is a slippery customer.

Musasi trying to mount his opponent but Kivi defends it.

Kivi is defending against the submission attempts here by Musasi.

Musasi is working for a submission of some sort.
Musasi uses his free foot to push down on Kivi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kivi.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Musasi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kivi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Musasi scores with a couple of good head shots there.


It looks like Eino Kivi has been cut.
Kivi working to try and regain half guard.

Musasi with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kivi tries to lock up and control but Musasi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kivi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Musasi throws a half hearted mid kick.

Kivi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Musasi counters with a nice leg kick.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Musasi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

and Musasi counters with a single leg into guard. Kivi didn't expect that.
Musasi wants to pass the guard but Kivi is keeping the position.
Musasi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kivi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Musasi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kivi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Musasi, into his guard.

Kivi stays in close to Musasi's body and controls the position.
Musasi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Musasi pushes a forearm under Kivi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kivi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
