Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trendar Mighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trendar Mighty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trendar Mighty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Roy!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mighty looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roy is fending him off so far but Mighty persists. Nope, Roy circles away and we're back to standing.

Mighty closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Roy trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Roy is trying to escape the mount.

Mighty is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Roy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mighty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roy has his foot on Mighty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mighty works his way back into a safe position though.
Roy wants to stand and escape but Mighty is having none of it.

Roy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mighty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Roy holds on and takes a little breather.

Mighty tries to free his leg and advance position but Roy is retaining full guard.

Roy is looking for a triangle but Mighty pushes his legs off easily.
Mighty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Roy wants to control the action here but instead Mighty manages to pass to full mount!

A close round but Chris Roy will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mighty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Mighty rushes Roy and presses him up against the cage.
Roy is looking to control Mighty's arms but Mighty gets an underhook and turns him. Now Roy has his back to the cage.
Roy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mighty tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Roy smiles and moves away.
Mighty shoots for a takedown but Roy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mighty shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roy as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trendar Mighty. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Roy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Mighty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mighty is looking to control Roy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mighty avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Mighty walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Roy checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Roy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mighty keeps working.

Mighty trying to control the position from guard on top but Roy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Roy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Roy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mighty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Roy wants to sweep here but Mighty controlling him for the moment.

Mighty drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mighty has Roy in his guard.

Mighty is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mighty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Roy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Roy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mighty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mighty's back!

Mighty has hold of Roy's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Mighty gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mighty is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Roy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mighty looking to sit in guard and control but Roy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Roy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mighty kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Roy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mighty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mighty drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mighty jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
