Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Santana Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murpy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Victory. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Santana Munoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Murpy! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murpy gets tackled into the cage by Munoz. Munoz maintains the clinch. Murpy blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Munoz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Murpy tries to pull guard but Munoz holds him up against the cage and eventually Murpy drops back down to his feet.
Munoz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Munoz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Murpy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Munoz won't be happy with that. Munoz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Munoz tries to get out of the position. Munoz is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Murpy is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Munoz is looking to improve his position but Murpy isn't that keen on the idea. Murpy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Munoz manages to avoid the submission attempt. Murpy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Munoz is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munoz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Murpy.
Murpy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Murpy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Munoz's legs. Murpy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Munoz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Murpy is looking to take a break and control but Munoz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Munoz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Murpy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Munoz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Munoz is trying to get back to half guard. Murpy takes a little break here. Munoz wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Murpy throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munoz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Murpy wants to control but Munoz is keeping him busy. Munoz parries the strikes from Murpy easily there. Murpy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Munoz to escape.
Murpy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Munoz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Munoz wants to get back to his feet. Murpy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Murpy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Munoz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Murpy passes to full mount! Murpy landing strikes from the mount and Munoz is in trouble! Murpy working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Murpy landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Murpy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Munoz misses with a double jab
and Murpy counters with a series of strikes. Munoz will be more careful next time no doubt. Munoz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Murpy counters with a single leg into guard. Munoz didn't expect that. Murpy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Murpy wants to control from the top but Munoz keeps moving. Murpy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Munoz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Murpy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murpy throwing strikes from guard but Munoz blocks nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murpy postures up in Munoz's guard and throws a big left but Munoz blocks it. Murpy trying to control the position from guard on top but Munoz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Munoz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Munoz wants to sweep here but Murpy controlling him for the moment. Murpy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Munoz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Munoz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Munoz! Munoz tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Murpy sneaks back into half guard. Munoz wants to get back to his feet.
Murpy regains full guard. Nicely done. Murpy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Munoz passes into side control.
Munoz is trying to get an arm triangle but Murpy is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murpy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Murpy gets back to full guard.
Murpy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Murpy pushes a forearm under Munoz's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Munoz is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
