Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Parsons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parsons comes to the cage accompanied by Call Me The Breeze. Mack has chosen Navras as his entrance music. Dave Mack looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Parsons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Mack!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons shoots in for a takedown but Mack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Parsons misses with a low kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mack!

Parsons gets caught napping as Mack dives in and scores a takedown. Parsons manages to retain guard.

Parsons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Parsons has his foot on Mack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mack works his way back into a safe position though.

Parsons is looking for a triangle but Mack pushes his legs off easily.
Parsons bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mack's guard.

Parsons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Parsons tries to free his leg and advance position but Mack is retaining full guard.

Parsons throws a strike but Mack rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parsons has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mack has managed to get both his arms back between Parsons's legs - danger averted.
Parsons is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Parsons is trying to control. Mack wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Parsons seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Parsons thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mack's head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parsons missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Parsons with the ground and pound but Mack uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Parsons trying to control the position from guard on top but Mack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Parsons loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Parsons throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mack works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mack fails with the takedown
and Parsons counters with a nice body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Parsons.

Parsons fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mack.
Mack takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mack is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Parsons fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mack looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Parsons. Mack shrugs it off though.
Mack is breathing heavily.
Parsons tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mack was well out of range. Poor timing from Parsons.
Parsons lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mack looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Parsons throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Parsons throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mack.
Dave Mack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Parsons fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Parsons throws a nice inside leg kick.
Mack has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Parsons.

Parsons throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mack tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Parsons is in Mack's guard.

Parsons throws a strike aimed at the side of Mack's head but Mack avoids it well.
Parsons wants to control but Mack is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Mack's face as Parsons controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parsons wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mack, who protects the arm well.

Parsons is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mack is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Mack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parsons tries to avoid it but Mack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parsons to the ground. Parsons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Charlie Parsons is winning the standup battle so far.
Parsons feints and then cracks Mack's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mack down.

Mack's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Parsons scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Parsons scores with a shot to the body.
Parsons lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mack will feel that in the morning.
Parsons is looking to wear down Mack with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Parsons misses the shot to the body.
Parsons's corner calls for a 1-2. Parsons obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Parsons clinches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Parsons.

Parsons breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Parsons will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Parsons lands a slapping body shot.

Parsons feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Parsons sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mack's guard.
Parsons takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Parsons is trying to get an arm triangle but Mack is defending well.
Charlie Parsons is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Parsons tries to score with some ground and pound. Mack controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mack is not content to let Parsons control the position.
Parsons tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Parsons wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mack keeps working.
Charlie Parsons overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Parsons is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mack knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mack is not content to let Parsons control the position.
Parsons is staying tight to Mack's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parsons working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Well Parsons has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
