The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliphant fails in his attempt to clinch.

Oliphant prevents Garner from breaking the clinch.
Garner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Garner digs a right hand underneath Oliphant's ribcage. Oliphant let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Oliphant wants to get back to striking at distance but Garner won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garner turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Garner manages to end up in side control.

Oliphant throws a right and a left that Garner avoids nicely.
No joy there for Garner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Garner closes the distance and clinches.
Oliphant swings wildly with an uppercut but Garner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oliphant is trying to stall.

Garner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garner is looking to clinch but Oliphant is avoiding it.
Oliphant keeps the fight on the outside.
Garner on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Garner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Oliphant on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Oliphant tries to get out of the position.

Garner tries to close the distance and clinch but Oliphant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Still in the clinch, Garner scores with a nice short uppercut.

Garner lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Oliphant to his knees! Garner keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
