Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Thompson counters with a two punch combo.
Thompson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sten counters with a stiff right hand.
Sten tries a low kick but Thompson avoids it.
Sten fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thompson.

Sten moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sten tries to clinch there but Thompson circles away.

Sten bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sten turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sten connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thompson's hands.

Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Sten bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut.
Vlad Sten is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thompson is defended easily by Sten.

Sten throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thompson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thompson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Good leg kick by Sten there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Thompson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sten stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sten wants it to stay on the feet.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Thompson tries to bum rush Sten with a series of wild strikes but Sten uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Thompson counters with a single leg into guard. Sten didn't expect that.

Thompson drops back looking for a leg! Sten is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sten manages to kick Thompson off! Thompson jumps back into Sten's guard.

Hunter Thompson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A slapping leg kick lands for Sten.
Sten throws a low kick but Thompson avoids it.

and Thompson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hunter Thompson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
