Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pasha Shukshin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dawgius Murray!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray wants to clinch up but Shukshin keeps it at a distance.
Shukshin tries a head kick but it misses.
Murray has closed the distance and engaged Shukshin in a clinch.
Shukshin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Murray gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
A body shot lands from Murray.
Shukshin manages to break the clinch.
Shukshin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Murray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shukshin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shukshin throws a sloppy head kick and Murray moves out of range easily.
Murray dips to his left and cracks Shukshin with an uppercut!
It looks like Pasha Shukshin has been cut.
Shukshin is breathing heavily.
Murray lands a right hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Murray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Murray dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Murray is looking to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shukshin walks straight into a right hand from Murray - that's dropped him! Murray jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Shukshin from any more punishment! Shukshin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dawgius Murray!
