Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Day's entrance music is BIG JOHN. A fine choice. John Day could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sub Zero's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zero slips a straight right by Day. A slow jab from Zero misses its intended target. Zero fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Day avoids it really well and circles away. Zero moves into the clinch successfully.
Zero lands with a right to the head. Zero fails to pull guard.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. A short left from Zero. Zero lands on the inside with an uppercut. Day can't get the takedown.
Zero throws a knee to the head but misses.
Zero lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Zero lands a left hand that snaps the head of Day backwards. Day blocks an elbow strike from Zero.
Zero blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Zero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Day has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zero fails to pull the fight into his guard.
John Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Zero. Zero blocks an uppercut.
Day misses with a short punch on the inside. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Day. Day drops down looking for an ankle pick but Zero pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zero fails in his attempt to clinch. Zero tries to clinch but Day is having none of it. Zero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Day as he jumps to the side. Zero misses with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Day throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zero sees it coming and avoids it easily. Day misses with a low kick as Zero jumps back. Day fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zero manages to avoid it. Day keeps the fight on the outside. Day's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Day duly obliges. No joy there for Zero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zero closes the distance but Day moves to the side and Day makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Day scores with a nice head shot. Day shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zero is trying to defend but Day finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Day looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day wants to work for an arm triangle but Zero is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Day works his foot free and advances to mount. Day throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Zero has his hands clasped together but Day breaks the hold and Zero is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Day!
