Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marty McCabe!
The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell looks to land a combination. McCabe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
McCabe wants to clinch.

McCabe gets caught napping as Russell dives in and scores a takedown. McCabe manages to retain guard.
McCabe has control of Russell's left arm, preventing Russell from doing any damage.
McCabe is trying to control the position but Russell postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marty McCabe was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Russell tries to score a power double leg takedown but McCabe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Russell somewhat.

McCabe darts in and clinches Russell up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Russell just leaning against McCabe, taking a breather.
Russell prevents McCabe from breaking the clinch.
Russell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Nice body punch from McCabe - that landed with a thud.

McCabe pulls Russell into guard.
Russell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Russell is fighting to break McCabe's control of his arms but McCabe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McCabe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

McCabe pushes a forearm under Russell's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Russell is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
