3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jakelius Juston! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juston doesn't manage to clinch there - Mckay circles away.
Mckay misses with a hook. Mckay takes the fight into the clinch. Mckay manages to pull guard.
Juston trying to control the position from guard on top but Mckay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Juston controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mckay looking for a guillotine here but Juston defends easily.
Juston drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mckay looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mckay looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mckay! The strikes coming from Mckay are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mckay sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Juston is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mckay throws an elbow but Juston slips to the side and avoids it well. Mckay in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Mckay tries for a kimura but Juston is defending well. Mckay misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Juston struggling a bit here. Mckay tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay advances nicely into full mount. Mckay looking to control but Juston is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mckay is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Mckay!
