Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Sane! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Sane postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Jones wants to get back to his feet. Sane misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sane working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sane scoring with punches from side control. Sane working away. Sane tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sane lands an elbow. Jones gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sane is working for a submission of some sort.
Sane prevents Jones from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Sane. Sane escapes and gets back to his feet. Jones fails with the takedown and Sane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sane is looking to advance position but Jones won't allow it. Jones wants to control but Sane is keeping busy.

Sane looks gassed! Jones flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones has hold of Sane's hands but Sane slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sane wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones keeping control of the position. Sane wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Jones has hold of Sane's hands but Sane slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sane seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones gets a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Sane tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sane is trying to get back to full guard. Sane wants to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.
It looks like Rodrigo Jones has been cut. Sane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. Sane wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to sweep here but Sane controlling him for the moment. Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sane! Jones tries to control but Sane wriggling away. Sane tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sane is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Sane is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Sane dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rodrigo Jones's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones shoots and misses and Sane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sane. Sane decides to pull guard. Jones wants to control from the top but Sane keeps moving. Sane scores with a nice shot. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Sane. Jones wants to control from the top but Sane keeps moving. Sane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jones trying to control but Sane is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sane wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sane is breathing heavily.

Sane regains half guard. Sane wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sane tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sane is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. The fighters are battling for position here. Sane manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jones is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Sane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sane wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Jones wants to pass the guard but Sane is keeping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sane lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Justin Sane has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sane. Sane postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow. Sane wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Sane scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jones trying to control the position.
Sane with a flurry of punches that miss. Sane trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sane takes a decent strike to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sane trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones tries to clinch but Sane is having none of it. Sane is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Justin Sane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rodrigo Jones's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Sane missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sane throws a head kick that misses and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sane has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jones has passed into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks up at the clock and then as Sane takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jones lands a decent elbow from side control. Sane is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones scoring with punches and elbows. Jones tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sane is looking for a sweep. Sane wants to control but Jones postures up. Sane is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. Sane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sane blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones with a poor takedown and Sane counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Sane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sane trying to control but Jones postures up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sane. Jones sneaks back into half guard. Sane looks to land a strike but Jones avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jones pushes Sane off and gets back to his feet.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Sane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Sane which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Sane is defending well.
Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jones wants to take a breather but Sane is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sane tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Rodrigo Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Sane is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rodrigo Jones. Well Sane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
