The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang with a poor takedown
and Richards counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Richards is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Richards.
Richards is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yang is just riding it out for now. Richards eventually gives up the hold.
Richards is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Yang has managed to free his arm - good work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
