4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bronson Fields! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fields misses with a takedown and Estes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Estes throws a strike but Fields rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Estes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fields is controlling him. Fields thows a big elbow that misses. Fields would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fields trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fields trying to control but Estes is working from the bottom. Estes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fields lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Fields won't let Estes get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Estes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fields looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fields manages to work his way to half guard, despite Estes's best efforts. Fields is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fields is trying to stand back up but Estes is controlling him

Estes slips a nice elbow through Fields's hands, connecting with Fields's forehead. Estes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Fields has hold of Estes's hands but Estes slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fields regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Estes. Dominic Estes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Estes landing with the ground and pound. Estes throws and elbow that misses. Fields uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Estes's guard. Nice move by Fields! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Estes wriggles free and stands up. No luck for Estes with that takedown attempt. Estes shoots in looking for a takedown. Fields tries to sprawl out of it but Estes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fields manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fields fails to land with a series of punches.

Estes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fields on his heels. He'll look to pass Fields's guard now, I'm sure. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fields is on top in guard.
