Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between G Kar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Dignam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kar comes into the arena with Feed the Fire blaring out of the sound system. Dignam has chosen Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kar throws a hook to the side of Dignam's head but Dignam sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kar.
Kar misses with a head kick.
Kar wants to clinch.
Good work by Dignam as he checks the leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dignam avoids the head kick by Kar.
The fighters circling - Kar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dignam throws a poor cross that misses
and Kar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Dignam counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kar shoots in but Dignam avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dignam slips a jab and a cross from Kar.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Dignam makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Kar punishes Dignam's body with a nice straight punch.
Dignam needs to keep his hands up - Kar had a free shot at his head there.

and Dignam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kar throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

A close round but Tyler Dignam will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Dignam counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dignam thows a leg kick but Kar checks it
and Kar counters with a series of strikes. Dignam will be more careful next time no doubt.
Dignam bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dignam lands a really nice looking cross but Kar seems unphased.

Kar throws a low kick but Dignam moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kar is defended easily by Dignam.
Kar shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Kar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kar throws a leg kick but Dignam sees it coming and moves out of range.

Tyler Dignam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dignam on his heels. He'll look to pass Dignam's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dignam unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kar lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Kar can't find room to land a body shot as Dignam controls the action.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kar just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dignam's brow.
Kar tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dignam avoids it.
Dignam digs a right hand underneath Kar's ribcage. Kar let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dignam works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
