The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Saverin .
Savea misses with a takedown
and Saverin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Savea closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Saverin 's guard.
Savea is pushing down on Saverin 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Saverin is fighting to maintain full guard but Savea has managed to sneak the leg through.
Savea wants to pass the guard but Saverin is defending well.
Saverin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Savea trying to advance position but Saverin counters by regaining guard.
Saverin is looking for a triangle but Savea pushes his legs off easily.
Saverin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Savea can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Savea tries to free his leg and advance position but Saverin is retaining full guard.

Saverin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Saverin .
Savea wants to pass the guard but Saverin is keeping the position.
Savea works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Savea is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Savea seems to be looking for submissions.
Savea has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Saverin defend it? Savea steps over the head and cranks it - Saverin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Savea!
