The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargtass fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Vargtass moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Sanchez misses with a hook
and Vargtass counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sanchez thinking.
Sanchez blocks a low kick nicely.

Sanchez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Pedro Sanchez's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vargtass.

Vargtass wants to clinch up but Sanchez keeps it at a distance.
Vargtass has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Vargtass scoring well with a low kick there.
Vargtass is looking to slow Sanchez down with leg kicks.
Sanchez takes a kick to the side of the head.

Vargtass lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jeez, Pedro Sanchez's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sanchez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Vargtass - the referee stops the clock and Sanchez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Vargtass. Sanchez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Vargtass scores with a head kick. Sanchez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sanchez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pedro Sanchez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
