The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayward misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Hayward.
Zeek Hayward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hayward tries a head kick but it misses.
Diaz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hayward lands a big head kick that sends Diaz tumbling to the mat! Hayward takes a step backwards and waves Diaz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
Hayward misses with a head kick.
Diaz throws a hook to the side of Hayward's head but Hayward sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diaz throws a right hand that Hayward ducks under and follows up with a left that Hayward also avoids with ease.
Diaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Hayward throws a sloppy head kick and Diaz moves out of range easily.
Hayward misses with a head kick.
Hayward throws a head kick that misses.
Diaz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hayward throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Diaz is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Diaz is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hayward is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hayward flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Diaz anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hayward and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Diaz slips an arm under Hayward chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Diaz has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Diaz is squeezing on Hayward like an anaconda would it's prey. Hayward fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
