Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Kramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Mundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Kramer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Mundy!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kramer clinches with his opponent.
Kramer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mundy prevents it.
Kramer tries to score a body lock takedown but Mundy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kramer wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Kramer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kramer wants a takedown.
Kramer tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mundy is working for takedown but Kramer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Mundy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kramer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mundy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kramer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Mundy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kramer is looking to improve his position.

Mundy seems to be looking for submissions.

Kramer looking for submissions off his back.
Kramer trying to control but Mundy postures up.

Mundy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kramer tries to roll over but Mundy keeps him under control.

Kramer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mundy pulls his head out easily.
Kramer is breathing heavily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mundy lands a nice short elbow.
Mundy working Kramer over with strikes.
Kramer has hold of Mundy's hands but Mundy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Mundy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kramer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mundy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Mundy trying to control from half guard but Kramer is working away.
Mundy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mundy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kramer manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Mundy scoring with punches and elbows.
Kramer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mundy trying to control the action but Kramer is working from the bottom.
Kramer is trying to get back to full guard.

Mundy stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kramer to get to his feet.
Kramer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mundy paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Mundy counters with a nice leg kick.

Kramer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kramer wants to control from the top but Mundy keeps moving.
Kramer looking to pass the guard.

Kramer drops back looking for a leg! Mundy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mundy manages to kick Kramer off! Kramer jumps back into Mundy's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mundy will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kramer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kramer wants to control from the top but Mundy keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kramer with a poor takedown

and Mundy counters by moving into the clinch.
Kramer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mundy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kramer scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Kramer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mundy uses from the top position.
Kramer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kramer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kramer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mundy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kramer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mundy's back instead.

Kramer looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Mundy taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sam Kramer!
