Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Skeet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drew Skeet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rocky Balboa! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skeet throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Balboa counters with an inside leg kick. Balboa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. A low kick from Skeet is predictable there and Balboa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Balboa not landing any meaningful shots this time. Skeet keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Balboa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Skeet sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balboa sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Skeet defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa working over Skeet with some ground and pound. Skeet looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Skeet is looking for a sweep. Balboa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Balboa uses his free foot to push down on Skeet's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Skeet. Balboa has hold of Skeet's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Skeet manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Balboa trying to control but Skeet is having none of it. Balboa with a couple of short strikes. Balboa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Skeet can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Balboa looking to finish Skeet with some ground and pound. This is bad for Skeet! Skeet holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Balboa tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Balboa is landing with some decent strikes but Skeet is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Poor strikes thrown by Balboa there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

and Balboa makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Skeet misses with an uppercut
enabling Balboa to counter with a crisp jab. Skeet misses with a lunging right hand
and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Balboa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Skeet works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Balboa controlling from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Balboa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa throwing strikes from guard but Skeet blocks nicely. Balboa makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Balboa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Balboa trying to control the position from guard on top but Skeet is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Balboa lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa thows a big elbow that misses. Balboa throwing strikes from guard but Skeet blocks nicely. Balboa lands a couple of elbows. Skeet wants to sweep but no luck. Skeet looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa cracks Skeet with a solid left hand. Balboa passes easily into side control. Nice work. Balboa working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ground and pound from Balboa seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Skeet is working to avoid the ground and pound but Balboa connects with a decent elbow. Balboa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Skeet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balboa on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Balboa throws an elbow but Skeet slips to the side and avoids it well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Balboa lands a few punches from side control. Skeet takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Balboa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Balboa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Skeet tries to roll over but Balboa keeps him under control. Balboa thows a huge punch but Skeet dodges it nicely.
Rocky Balboa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Balboa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Balboa's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rocky Balboa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Skeet misses with a left hand and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Balboa won't allow Skeet to sweep him here. Balboa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Balboa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Rocky Balboa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Balboa wants to clinch. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Skeet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Drew Skeet has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Skeet throws an ugly left hook that misses

And that's the end of the fight! Rocky Balboa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Balboa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
