Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aaron Bjj!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Cook scores with a four punch combination!

Cook drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bjj pulls Cook in close to prevent any damage.
Bjj not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bjj is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Cook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bjj swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cook postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bjj is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cook, into his guard.
Cook avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cook wants to sweep here but Bjj controlling him for the moment.
Bjj loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Cook working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bjj doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bjj manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bjj forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bjj thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bjj is working for a kimura but Cook is defending it quite comfortably.

Bjj seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cook is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
