The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort leaves Thomas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Thomas shoots and misses
and Belfort counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Belfort lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Thomas tries to clinch up
and Belfort counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Belfort circles away from the clinch attempt
and Belfort counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thomas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Belfort pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Belfort lands a jab to Thomas's midsection.
Belfort throws a sloppy body shot
and Thomas counters with a solid body kick.
Belfort lands a hook that stumbles Thomas back into the cage. Belfort follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Thomas to the canvas! Belfort pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Thomas has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
