Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacLain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane MacLain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keith Stone! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone tries a head kick but it misses.
MacLain has his takedown stuffed and Stone counters with a two punch combo. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Stone!
Stone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Stone wants to stand but MacLain is controlling his arm. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Stone is chipping away with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacLain sneaks out the side door and pushes Stone away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Stone throws a sloppy head kick and MacLain moves out of range easily. MacLain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stone counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shane MacLain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacLain has his takedown stuffed and Stone counters with a flying knee. Nice. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane MacLain. That's going to take a lot out of him. MacLain throws a combination that misses and Stone counters with a left to the body. Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. MacLain was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stone wants to stand but MacLain has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

MacLain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stone counters with a series of strikes. MacLain will be more careful next time no doubt. Stone moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Stone moves into the clinch. Stone breaks the clinch.

Stone moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Stone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
MacLain tries for a takedown but Stone circles away easily and Stone counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone is looking to take a break and control but MacLain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Stone stands up and beckons MacLain to join him on the feet. Nice straight punches there by Stone. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Stone. Stone is working the combinations to good effect here. Stone goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Stone darts in and clinches MacLain up against the cage.

MacLain tries to clinch up and Stone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stone wants to pass the guard but MacLain is keeping the position. Stone with a nice head shot there. Stone content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Stone working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of MacLain's head. Stone cracks MacLain with a solid left hand. MacLain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
MacLain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stone defends well. MacLain keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stone lands a couple of elbows. MacLain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stone stands up over MacLain, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. MacLain keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully. Stone stands up from guard. Let's bang! MacLain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from MacLain there as he acknowledges the shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stone tries to land knees in the clinch but MacLain avoids the damage to the body. Stone is looking to break free of the clinch but MacLain has double underhooks. Stone breaks the clinch.

MacLain has his takedown stuffed and Stone counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stone. Stone preventing the sweep. Stone is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stone wanted to stand there but MacLain had control of the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stone's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Stone trying to stand up but can't free himself from MacLain's guard. Stone chips away with some ground and pound.

Stone wanted to stand there but MacLain had control of the position. Stone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MacLain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stone gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Stone clinches up with MacLain and pushes him back against the cage. Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. MacLain is trying to drag Stone to the mat but Stone just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. MacLain is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stone pulls him back up using the underhooks. Stone gets control of MacLain's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Stone looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Stone manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stone unloading with bombs! Stone with shots to the head and body - MacLain looks very uncomfortable down there. MacLain tries to lock up and control but Stone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. MacLain is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. MacLain in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Stone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

MacLain tries to reverse the position but Stone maintains control. Stone trying to control but MacLain is having none of it. MacLain is bucking up trying to escape but Stone cracks him with another couple of good strikes. MacLain bucks Stone off and manages to get back to his feet! Stone has MacLain up against the cage in a clinch.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but MacLain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. MacLain with a nice head shot there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.
