Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dupree Owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Schafer!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Owens. Schafer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Owens fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schafer tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Owens counters with a low kick, right behind Schafer 's knee.
Owens pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Schafer scores with a jab. Owens acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Owens looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Schafer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Schafer softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Schafer.
Schafer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Owens backwards.
Schafer prevents a takedown attempt there.
Schafer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Schafer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Dupree Owens has been cut.
Schafer lands a shoulder strike.
Schafer throws a head punch that misses.
Owens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Schafer walks away with a smile on his face. Owens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nice uppercut there from Schafer.

Owens moves away from the strike by Schafer.
Owens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Schafer tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Schafer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Schafer thuds a left hand into Owens's body.
Owens dodges the punch combination from Schafer.
Owens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Schafer was well out of range. Poor timing from Owens.
Owens looks for a takedown but Schafer sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dupree Owens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schafer scores with a nice right hand.

Owens shoots in and bounces Schafer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Schafer has a closed guard, preventing Owens from standing up.
Schafer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Owens wants to control from the top but Schafer keeps moving.
Owens postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Schafer takes a swing at Owens's ribcage but misses.
The fighters circling - Owens throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Owens throws a leg kick but Schafer checks it.
Owens keeps the fight on the outside.
Owens doesn't manage to clinch there - Schafer circles away.
Owens keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Schafer.
Schafer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Schafer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Owens misses with a hook.
Keith Schafer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schafer misses the body punch
and Owens counters with a straight right hand.
Owens listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Owens misses with a body kick.
Schafer tries to clinch up.
Schafer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Owens's head.
Owens misses with a hook. Schafer ducked under it nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Schafer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Schafer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Schafer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Owens counters with a left and a right... And another left! Schafer is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
