Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Royler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juga Zmaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zmaj comes into a darkened arena with his song building. zgazi jajare kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roy Royler! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Juga Zmaj! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zmaj fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Zmaj moves out of range as Royler strikes. Royler misses with a lunging right hand
and Zmaj counters with a takedown into side control. Royler is not content to let Zmaj control the position. Zmaj in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Zmaj tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Zmaj goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Royler rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Zmaj's guard! Nice work there by Royler!

Zmaj wants to sweep but no luck. Zmaj is trying to keep Royler in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zmaj looking for a sweep. Not yet Zmaj, not yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Juga Zmaj. Royler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zmaj. Zmaj doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Royler connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Zmaj's hands. Royler misses with a wild combination.

Royler works on Zmaj's body with a couple of short punches. Zmaj looks gassed! Royler lands a shoulder strike. Royler digs a right hand into Zmaj's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Zmaj's gas tank. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zmaj's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Royler lands with a right to the head. Royler lands a left hand.

and Zmaj counters with a nice body shot. Zmaj misses with a takedown attempt and Royler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zmaj doesn't manage to clinch there - Royler circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Zmaj tries to clinch but Royler is having none of it. Zmaj has managed to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zmaj working a defensive guard here.
Zmaj is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Royler is aware though and is defending well. Zmaj not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Zmaj trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Royler postures up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roy Royler will probably get the nod. That's time! Royler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Royler counters with a lovely straight right hand! Royler misses with a looping left. Zmaj takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Royler chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zmaj can pounce on him.

and Zmaj counters with a good low kick that Royler was not able to check. Royler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Juga Zmaj is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zmaj is looking to clinch but Royler is avoiding it.
Royler lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Royler misses with a shot to the body and Zmaj counters with a thumping low kick. Royler takes a swing at Zmaj's ribcage but misses. Zmaj tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Royler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Royler dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Royler ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Zmaj shoots for a double leg takedown but Royler sprawls well. He's pushed Zmaj's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zmaj throws a low kick, looking for Royler's leg but Royler calmly moves out of range. Zmaj is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Royler rather than just go for the knockout. The fight stays on the outside here - Zmaj looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Royler thows a body shot but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zmaj tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Royler paws at him with a jab and circles away. No luck for Zmaj with that takedown attempt. Zmaj tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Royler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

And that's the end of the fight! Roy Royler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Royler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
