Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Christopher Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes swinging wildly here.
Harris misses with a looping left. Harris misses with a takedown attempt and Reyes counters with a three punch combo that has Harris backing up. Harris nods at Reyes to acknowledge the strikes. Harris with a lazy takedown attempt and Reyes counters with a lovely straight right hand! Harris shoots and misses and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Christopher Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Harris. Harris tries for a takedown but Reyes circles away easily and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Harris with a poor takedown and Reyes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Harris looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris shoots and misses and Reyes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reyes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Harris tries for a takedown but Reyes circles away easily and Reyes counters with a stiff right hand. Paul Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harris rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Reyes counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Reyes scores with a hook to the body. Harris takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Harris walks into a stiff left hand from Reyes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harris takes one to the side of the head.
Oooh a lovely combination from Reyes sends Harris down but not out. Reyes dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Paul Harris has been cut. Reyes has knee on belly and moves into mount. Reyes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Reyes controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes wants to control the pace but Harris is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Reyes goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Harris turns into him and now he's in Reyes's guard.
Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reyes swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reyes has his hands on Harris's head, controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harris trying to control the action but Reyes is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reyes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Reyes is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Harris looking to pass the guard. Reyes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Reyes working for a triangle but Harris defends it easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Reyes. Christopher Reyes is winning the standup battle so far.

A right-left combo lands from Reyes. Reyes jabs Harris to the body, keeping him at a distance. Reyes lands with an uppercut that bounces Harris off the cage and back into rage. Harris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Reyes bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Harris back to the cage. Reyes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reyes tries to bum rush Harris with a series of wild strikes but Harris uses good footwork to avoid the assault. And that's the end of the fight! Christopher Reyes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reyes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
