Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Helix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Drennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drennan has chosen Illy-oi! as his entrance music. Drennan has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Gary Drennan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix shoots for a takedown but Drennan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Drennan looks gassed!
Helix shoots for a double leg takedown but Drennan sprawls well. He's pushed Helix's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Helix shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Drennan as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Helix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Helix darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Helix lands strikes from half guard.
Helix is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Drennan reverses the position - he's now on top in Helix's guard.
Helix is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Helix escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Drennan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Helix has his foot on Drennan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drennan works his way back into a safe position though.
Helix pushes a forearm under Drennan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Drennan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
