Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiruzen Sarutobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clessie Cummins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cummins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cummins gets a double leg takedown into Sarutobi's guard.
Sarutobi is controlling Cummins's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cummins passes Sarutobi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cummins wants to control but Sarutobi is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cummins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Clessie Cummins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nice sprawl there from Sarutobi as Cummins shoots in.

Sarutobi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Sarutobi is pressed up against the cage. Cummins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sarutobi down to the mat. Sarutobi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sarutobi has the hooks in. Cummins is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

so Cummins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cummins shoots in looking for a takedown. Sarutobi tries to sprawl out of it but Cummins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sarutobi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Clessie Cummins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sarutobi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Cummins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sarutobi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Cummins shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sarutobi sprawls well. Sarutobi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cummins gets slowly back to his feet.

Well Sarutobi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
