Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan van der Burgt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van der Burgt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Niko Ahvonen - Onnen Ongintaa . On his way into the cage it seems that Jonathan van der Burgt has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jonathan van der Burgt seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonathan van der Burgt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Howard Jones!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
van der Burgt ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
Jones slips under a jab from van der Burgt.
van der Burgt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jones is not content to let van der Burgt control the position.
van der Burgt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jones gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
van der Burgt is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.
van der Burgt is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
van der Burgt prevents Jones from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but van der Burgt is very close to passing his half guard.
van der Burgt tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it.
van der Burgt is working for a submission of some sort.
van der Burgt wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jones is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
van der Burgt passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!
Jones is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
van der Burgt trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
van der Burgt swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jones is now in van der Burgt's guard. A big mistake from van der Burgt there, giving up the dominant position!
Jones looking to pass the guard.
Jones looking to improve position, pressing down on van der Burgt's thigh with his hand. van der Burgt seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Jones paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Jones's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! van der Burgt picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
