Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sobieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denard Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sobieski comes to the cage accompanied by Slav Wind. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Sobieski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denard Black! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black throws a combination that misses and Sobieski counters with a good low kick that Black was not able to check. Black throws an off balance right hand
and Sobieski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sobieski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head. Sobieski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sobieski is stalling here. Black is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sobieski seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Black has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Sobieski is trying to improve his position. Black wants to stand but Sobieski is controlling his arm. Black decides to stand back up. Black steps back and let's Sobieski get back to his feet. Sobieski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Black misses with a right hand and Sobieski counters with a flying knee. Nice. Black throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sobieski on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black sends Sobieski crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Black is motioning to the referee to let Sobieski up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Black thows a body shot but no joy. Black misses with an uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sobieski. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black is not content to let Sobieski control the position. Sobieski throwing strikes but Black manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Sobieski regains half guard. Sobieski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Black is going to stand back up.
Black decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Black tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sobieski was well out of range. Poor timing from Black. Sobieski wants to land a leg kick but Black is out of range. A telegraphed right hand from Black misses the target. A big left from Black misses. Sobieski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Black's sensitive parts. Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sobieski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sobieski looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sobieski shoots in and gets a takedown into Black's guard. Sobieski prevents Black from getting back to his feet. Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sobieski trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sobieski wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving. Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sobieski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now. Sobieski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Black works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sobieski passes Black's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sobieski throwing shots but Black is blocking nicely. Black is not content to let Sobieski control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Black pushes Sobieski off looking to stand but Sobieski dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jan Sobieski will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sobieski lands with a kick to the temple. Black shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sobieski is looking to chop away at Black's legs. Black misses with the combination.
Black lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sobieski circles away quickly and effectively. Black swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sobieski counters with a head kick. That will keep Black thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Black fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Black shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sobieski eats them both and turns towards Black to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Black slips under a jab from Sobieski. Sobieski shoots in looking for a takedown. Black tries to sprawl out of it but Sobieski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Black manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sobieski connects with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black misses with a wild combination.
Sobieski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Black has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Black tries to bum rush Sobieski with a series of wild strikes but Sobieski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Black fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Black misses with a left hand and Sobieski counters with a takedown into side control. Sobieski creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Black sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Black defending against the ground and pound. Sobieski fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sobieski throws an elbow but Black slips to the side and avoids it well. Sobieski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working. Black tries to escape but Sobieski is in control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sobieski misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sobieski misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black tries to escape but Sobieski is in control. Sobieski trying to control the action but Black is working from the bottom. Sobieski throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Black is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sobieski has just dragged him back down to the mat. Sobieski throws an elbow but Black slips to the side and avoids it well. Sobieski tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Black wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sobieski works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sobieski in side control, throwing shots but Black defends. Sobieski tries to score with some ground and pound. Black controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Sobieski scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Black to see if he's OK. Sobieski in side control lands a decent elbow. Sobieski tries to move into full mount but can't pass Black's legs. Sobieski working the body and head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Sobieski dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Sobieski is looking for a kimura but Black is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sobieski to get the leverage. Sobieski trying to control from Black's half guard. Black has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Sobieski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sobieski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sobieski trying to control but Black is working from the bottom.

Sobieski slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jan Sobieski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sobieski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sobieski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jan Sobieski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sobieski looks up at the clock and then as Black takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sobieski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Denard Black has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sobieski landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Black is not content to let Sobieski control the position. Sobieski tries for a kimura but Black is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Jan Sobieski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sobieski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
