Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Sladkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson circles away from the clinch attempt and Watson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sladkov won't be happy with that. Watson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Watson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sladkov is trying to control Watson's posture but Watson avoids it. Watson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The ground and pound from Watson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sladkov is looking for a sweep. Watson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sladkov, who protects the arm well. Sladkov tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Watson easily slips into full mount! Watson with shots to the head and body - Sladkov looks very uncomfortable down there. Watson working for a guillotine from mount but Sladkov is in no mood to give up. Watson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sladkov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Sladkov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sladkov regains half guard. Watson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watson wants to advance to full mount but Sladkov doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Watson postures up.
Watson advances to half guard. Watson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sladkov defends it well. Sladkov is in trouble now - Watson has advanced to mount! Sladkov wants to hold on but Watson pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sladkov is trying desperately to improve position. Watson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Watson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sladkov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Watson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sladkov has escaped the position, nice work there. Sladkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Watson working away. Watson cracks Sladkov with a big right hand but Sladkov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Watson has hold of Sladkov's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sladkov tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Watson cranks the arm and Sladkov screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sladkov, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
