The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos slips a jab and a cross from Cordeiro.
Cordeiro throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Santos counters with a leg kick.
Cordeiro connects with the punch.
Santos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cordeiro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Santos throws the kick towards the body but Cordeiro avoids it.
Cordeiro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cordeiro swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Santos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Santos uses his free foot to push down on Cordeiro's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cordeiro.
