The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hu throws a right hand that misses
and Wawatai counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wawatai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hu has time to react. Hu connects with a crisp jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hu. Hu throws a combination that misses and Wawatai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wawatai changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Wawatai scores with a push kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hu misses with a right hand and Wawatai counters with a head kick. That will keep Hu thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Wawatai lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Hu throws a combination that misses and Wawatai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hu is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hu misses with a leg kick and Wawatai counters with a thumping low kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hu misses with a left hand and Wawatai counters with a one-two to the body. Wawatai scores with a jab to the head.

Hu with a lazy takedown attempt and Wawatai counters with a slapping leg kick. Hu tries for a takedown but Wawatai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wawatai counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glen Hu. That's going to take a lot out of him. enabling Wawatai to counter with a crisp jab. Wawatai lands a front kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Hu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Wawatai. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wawatai. Wawatai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hu misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Wawatai swings away with a leg kick that misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hu throws a leg kick and Wawatai counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hu throws a poor cross that misses
and Wawatai counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wawatai counters with a low kick, right behind Hu 's knee. Wawatai dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hu. That did some damage! Hu tries to land a body kick and Wawatai counters with a low kick, right behind Hu 's knee. Wawatai connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Hu misses with an uppercut
and Wawatai counters with a good, hard body kick but Hu shrugs it off. Decent striking displayed by Wawatai there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hu misses with an uppercut

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wawatai scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Glen Hu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good leg kick by Wawatai there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wawatai scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hu has his takedown stuffed and Wawatai counters with an outside leg kick.
Hu looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wawatai looks for the body kick but Hu saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Norton Wawatai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Wawatai works over Hu's head and body with a nice combination. Wawatai has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hu throws a poor cross that misses

That's one minute gone in the round. Hu throws a head kick that misses and Wawatai counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hu's knee momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wawatai lands with a cross. Jab, jab by Wawatai - just one landing. Hu misses with an uppercut
and Wawatai counters with a nice leg kick. Hu misses with an uppercut
and Wawatai makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Wawatai feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wawatai lands a leg kick that knocks Hu off balance momentarily. Hu throws a leg kick that is checked and Wawatai counters with a low kick, right behind Hu 's knee. Wawatai thows a body kick. Hu tries to catch it but that hurt him. Norton Wawatai seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hu tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wawatai scores with the left hand. Hu knows he should have avoided that one. Hu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Hu might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wawatai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wawatai bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Wawatai digs a good body shot into Hu's ribs. Wawatai misses with a series of wild punches.
Hu is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Hu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wawatai feints a jab promting Hu to slip. Wawatai then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hu throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wawatai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Hu falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Wawatai to counter with a crisp jab. Hu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wawatai sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hu somewhat. Glen Hu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hu falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wawatai counters with a head kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Norton Wawatai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wawatai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
