Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dj Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristian Pesonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall has closed the distance and engaged Pesonen in a clinch.
Hall has picked Pesonen up - he's going for a ride! Hall dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Well, if Hall is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hall takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pesonen is trying to stand.
Hall lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pesonen is trying to stand.
Hall looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pesonen is trying to stand up here but Hall is controlling him well.
Hall is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hall uses his free foot to push down on Pesonen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pesonen.
BOOM! Hall connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Hall scoring with strikes but Pesonen is staying in there.

Pesonen is in a horrible position here. Hall smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hall wants to control the pace but Pesonen is squirming around nicely.

Hall is landing with some decent strikes but Pesonen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hall scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pesonen?
Pesonen wants to try and get back to his feet.

Hall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pesonen is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hall has taken his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hall controlling the position well here. Pesonen rolled but Hall kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Hall lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Pesonen trying to get back to his feet but Hall is in full control for now.

Pesonen has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Hall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dj Hall just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Pesonen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hall manages to avoid it.
Hall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pesonen is looking to get back to his feet here but Hall is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pesonen's back.

Pesonen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pesonen is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Pesonen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Hall is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Pesonen. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Hall has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Pesonen is defending well but eventually Hall manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Pesonen has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
