Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trent Alfedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Green! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alfedo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Green counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Alfedo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Green's guard. Alfedo stops Green from standing up. Alfedo wants to get up but he can't break Green's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alfedo is one step ahead there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Alfedo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alfedo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sloppy strikes there by Green. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green is trying to ground and pound but Alfedo uses the momentary lack of control by Green to regain half guard. Green misses with a head shot. Alfedo uses the momentum to regain guard.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Alfedo is breathing heavily. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Alfedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Alfedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by George Green. Alfedo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

George Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Alfedo being controlled here, momentarily.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Green in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Alfedo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Green postures up in Alfedo's guard and throws a big left but Alfedo blocks it. Green throws a big right hand that misses. Green trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Green controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Green throwing strikes but missing. Green slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alfedo keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alfedo is avoiding damage well.

The ground and pound from Green seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. George Green has got the better of the ground game so far. Alfedo defending against the ground and pound. And that's the end of the fight! George Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
