Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Trump!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canada gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Canada holds on and takes a little breather.

Kyle Trump seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

enabling Trump to counter with a crisp jab.
Trump throws a nice looking combination but Canada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Trump closes the distance but Canada moves to the side

and Canada holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Canada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Canada counters with a two punch combo.
Trump throws a right hand that Canada ducks under and follows up with a left that Canada also avoids with ease.
Canada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trump swivels and escapes.
Canada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Trump.
Trump lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Trump.


It looks like Air Canada has been cut.
Kyle Trump is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trump misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Canada rushes Trump and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trump tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Canada smiles and moves away.

and Canada decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trump's guard.

Canada slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trump has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Canada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Canada scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Canada is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Trump is trying to keep Canada in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trump is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Canada slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Trump throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Canada escapes and throws Trump's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Canada has knee on belly and moves into mount.

and Trump counters with a one-two to the body.

and Canada counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Canada.

Canada jumps guard and drags Trump to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Canada keeping moving, preventing Trump from controlling successfully.
Canada is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trump is looking to advance position but Canada has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Trump goes for a takedown in the clinch but Canada prevents it.
Trump tries to break free but Canada pushes him back against the cage.
Trump tries to pull guard but Canada holds him up against the cage and eventually Trump drops back down to his feet.

Canada manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Canada pulls Trump in close to his closed guard and prevents Trump from doing any damage or advancing position.

Trump tries to free his leg and advance position but Canada is retaining full guard.
Canada manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Canada avoids the attempt from Trump to control.

Canada scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Trump is looking for a way out.
Trump is trying to get back to his feet but Canada has full control of the position and if anything, Trump has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Canada lands strikes to the head.
The referee is taking a good look at Trump as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Canada!
Canada is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Trump up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

You can see the frustration on Trump's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Canada controls the action.
Trump tries to escape but Canada has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Trump really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Canada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Canada scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Trump is looking for a way out.
Trump grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Trump trying to control the hands but Canada breaks the grip.

Canada has managed to slip his arm under Trump's chin. This could be all over... yep, Trump is tapping out! Submission win for Canada.
