The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emery shoots and misses and Sakurabu counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Emery looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sakurabu stalling. Sakurabu's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sakurabu has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sakurabu controlling his opponent. Emery tries to lock up and control but Sakurabu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emery taking shots to the head. Sakurabu takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kazuki Sakurabu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Sakurabu drives through with a takedown into guard.

Sakurabu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Emery wants to get back to full guard. Sakurabu controlling the action here. Let's hope that Sakurabu has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

And that's the end of the fight! Kazuki Sakurabu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sakurabu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
