The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tahvonen has managed to clinch.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tahvonen tries to get out of the position. Tahvonen is looking to control Lindel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tahvonen avoid being mounted? Tahvonen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lindel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tahvonen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lindel stalling. Lindel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lindel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tahvonen is not content to let Lindel control the position. Lindel takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lindel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tahvonen is trying to improve his position. Tahvonen parries the strikes from Lindel easily there. Lindel is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tahvonen to escape.
You can see the frustration on Tahvonen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lindel looks up at the clock and then as Tahvonen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lindel smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lindel is chipping away with strikes.
Lindel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tahvonen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lindel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tahvonen keeps working. Tahvonen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lindel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tahvonen down.
Lindel is looking to take a break and control but Tahvonen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tahvonen is trying to control Lindel's posture but Lindel avoids it. A lull in the action here as Lindel stalls from top position. Lindel lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Lindel seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Lindel working away. Tahvonen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lindel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lindel creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Lindel working the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lindel in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that's the end of the fight! Mikael Lindel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lindel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
