PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason David Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ron Wasserman - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Theme Song. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank shoots for a double leg takedown but Durden sprawls well. He's pushed Frank's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Frank pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durden checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Frank uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durden.
Durden fails to land with a series of punches.
Frank tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Durden swivels and escapes.
Durden pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Frank slips a jab from Durden.
Frank misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Durden throws a lazy uppercut
and Frank counters with a good, hard body kick but Durden shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frank tries a head kick but it misses.
Durden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Frank manages to avoid it.
Frank fails with a takedown attempt.
Tyler Durden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason David Frank.
Durden thows a body shot but no joy.

Frank tries a head kick but it misses.
Durden takes a kick to the side of the head.
Tyler Durden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Frank pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durden throws a big shot that misses.

Durden moves out of range as Frank throws a body kick.
Frank on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Durden misses the shot to the body.
Durden throws a series of strikes that have Frank backpedaling.

Frank tries to land a front kick but Durden steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Frank ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Durden connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Frank's hands.
Durden's jab looks to have found its range, popping Frank under the eye.
Durden lands a two punch combo.
Frank moves away from the strike by Durden.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Frank scores a nice knee to the body.
Frank tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Durden wants to break free but Frank has control.
Frank using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Durden has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Come on Frank - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Frank tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Durden is trying to break free.
Frank tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Durden smiles and moves away.
Durden lands a nice shot that snaps Frank's head back.
Frank misses with a head kick.

Durden tries to sprawl but Frank drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Durden keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Frank works his way into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee asks Frank politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Frank prefers to stall for the moment though.
Durden can't do much from the bottom here.
Frank advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frank controlling from the full mount.
Frank wants to control the pace but Durden is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Durden will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Durden moves out of range of the body kick.
Durden cracks a nice hook into Frank's ribs.
Durden misses with a jab, cross combination.
Durden throws a shot to the body.
Frank moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Frank walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Frank connects with an inside leg kick.
Durden misses with an uppercut
and Frank counters with a nice kick to the body.
Durden misses with a series of wild punches.
Durden avoids the head kick by Frank.

Durden has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Frank.
Frank throws a head kick that misses.
Durden throws the left hand but Frank avoids the punch easily.
A jab from Durden misses.
Durden avoids the head kick by Frank.
Durden misses with an uppercut. Frank saw that one coming.
Frank tries a head kick but it misses.
Frank throws a head kick that misses.
The crowd cheers as Durden lands an impressive looking overhand right. Frank doesn't seem phased though.

Frank looks for the body kick but Durden saw that one coming.
Frank dodges the punch combination from Durden.
Frank wants to clinch
and Durden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A head kick misses from Frank.
Frank pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Durden misses with a series of wild punches.
Frank throws a head kick that Durden semi-blocks.

Frank throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Durden was covering up waiting for the punch and Frank finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Frank looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Durden tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Frank manages to move to mount!

Frank is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Frank!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jason David Frank!
