The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Del Geno closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.

Del Geno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones is trying to escape back to his feet but Del Geno uses the scramble to pass into side control.
