Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pacquiao tries to score with a low kick but Santiago moves his leg out of the way.
Pacquiao pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Santiago throws a combination. Pacquiao tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Manny Pacquiao has been cut.
Santiago missing with a left hand there. Pacquiao was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Santiago throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Santiago misses with a hook.
Pacquiao looks to land a body kick but Santiago moved away.
Pacquiao moves out of range as Santiago strikes.
Jorge Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pacquiao works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Santiago counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pacquiao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pacquiao just misses with a punch to the body.
Santiago tries to bum rush Pacquiao with a series of wild strikes but Pacquiao uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Santiago scores with a jab to the head.
Santiago rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pacquiao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pacquiao takes one on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santiago connects with a body shot.
Pacquiao shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santiago feints a jab promting Pacquiao to slip. Santiago then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pacquiao slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Pacquiao looks gassed!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Santiago , as that shot connected.
Pacquiao is rocked!
Pacquiao misses with a body shot
and Santiago counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Santiago dips to his left and cracks Pacquiao with an uppercut!
That has opened up Manny Pacquiao's cut even more.
Nice body punch from Santiago .
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santiago lands a left and a right that send Pacquiao crashing to the mat, dazed. Santiago thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Pacquiao is still on wobbly legs! Can Santiago finish him?
Santiago lands with a nice body punch.
Pacquiao seems to have recovered his senses.
Santiago jabs Pacquiao right on the nose. Pacquiao blinks but takes it well.
Pacquiao takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Santiago cracks Pacquiao with a right hand to the side of the head.

The cut above Manny Pacquiao's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Santiago lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Santiago lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Pacquiao takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Santiago bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Pacquiao on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Santiago misses with a jab, cross combination.
Santiago lands with an overhand left.
A decent looking cross lands there for Santiago .
A swing and a miss from Santiago .
Santiago feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pacquiaos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Manny Pacquiao's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Santiago throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pacquiao on the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Santiago . You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Santiago .
The fighters circle momentarily. Santiago darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Santiago moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Manny Pacquiao's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jorge Santiago !
