Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Battling Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence. Logan has chosen Devildriver - Devils Son as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Battling Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Logan!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Logan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Logan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bob.
Bob misses with a right hand
and Logan counters with a straight right hand.
Bob connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Logan's hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bob misses with a hook

and Logan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Logan scores with a shoulder strike.
Logan lands a hook to the side of the head.
Logan scores with a hook to the body.
Bob tries for a takedown but Logan manages to get underhooks.
Logan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bob tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Logan's elbow.
Bob throws a head punch that misses.
Logan working hard to break the clinch.
Logan has a couple of punches blocked by Bob.
A short body shot lands from Bob as the two fighters clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Bob fails to land.
Logan throws a punch but it's blocked by Bob.
Bob lands a shoulder strike.
Logan wants to break free but Bob has control.
Bob tries for a takedown but Logan manages to get underhooks.

Bob goes for a takedown in the clinch but Logan prevents it.

Bob has Logan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Logan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

It looks like Battling Bob has been cut.
Logan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Logan can't find room to land a body shot as Bob controls the action.
Logan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bob backwards.

Bob has a couple of punches blocked by Logan.

A frustrated look appears on Logan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Logan lands with a light punch inside.
Logan throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bobs head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Logan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Logan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bob throws a right hand that misses
and Logan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bob thinking.

Logan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Battling Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Logan doesn't seem bothered though.
Logan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bob misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Logan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Battling Bob's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bob jabbing away but nothing is landing.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Logan enables Bob to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Logan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Logan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Bob throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Logan is keeping the position for now.

Bob is working hard here to advance position.

Logan has control of Bob's left arm, preventing Bob from doing any damage.
Bob wants to pass the guard but Logan is keeping the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bob swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Logan counter with a right hand.
Logan misses with a wild body shot.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob wants to clinch but Logan slips to the side
and Logan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Logan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Logan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bob's head.
Bob lands a jab to the head.
Logan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bob moves away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Logan scores with a body shot.
Bob throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Logan to counter with a crisp jab.
James Logan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Logan is looking to clinch.
Bob cracks Logan with an open hand slap.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bob paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bob throws a lazy uppercut
and Logan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Logan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Logan misses with a double jab

and Bob counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Battling Bob dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Battling Bob's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Logan moves into the clinch.
Logan blocks an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Logan.
Logan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Logan swings wildly with an uppercut but Bob uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bob misses with the head strike.
Logan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bob.
Logan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A right hook to the body lands for Logan.

Logan manages to break the clinch.
Logan misses the jab.
Bob clobbers Logan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob misses with a left hand
and Logan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A swing and a miss from Bob.
Bob tries for a takedown but Logan circles away easily
and Logan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob throws an off balance right hand

and Logan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Logan.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Logan.
Bob prevents a body shot from Logan.
Bob lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Logan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bob is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Logan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Logan lands a left hand.
Bob blocking some punches.
Logan working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Logan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Logan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob misses with a double jab
and Logan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Logan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bob will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Logan throws a lazy uppercut
and Bob cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bob is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Logan avoids the body shot from Bob.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Logan!
Bob throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bob throws a lazy uppercut
and Logan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Logan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Logan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
