Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Auville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Auville! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Mott! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mott connects with a leg kick. Auville looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Mott. Auville blocks a leg kick. Mott slips under a jab. Auville throws a right and a left that both miss. Mott gets a takedown into half guard. Mott passes to side control. Mott trying to control the action but Auville is working from the bottom. Mott advances to full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Auville blocking the ground and pound. Mott throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Mott throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Auville because Mott loaded up on that one. Auville blocking the ground and pound. Auville is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mott lands a heavy elbow. Mott is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Auville can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mott looking to ground and pound but Auville is blocking nicely. Mott looking to control but Auville is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Auville is trying to stand. Auville is breathing heavily. Mott misses with a head shot. Mott looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Mott trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mott controlling from mount. Mott working Auville over with strikes here. Mott has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mott fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mott breaks from Auville's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mott scoring with strikes but Auville is staying in there. Mott throws some wild stikes that Auville manages to avoid easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Auville holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mott tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mott postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Auville looks a forlorn figure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

John Mott dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Mott has a takedown stuffed. Mott defending well as Auville loads up on a big left hand. Auville stuffs the takedown. John Auville is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Auville misses with a left hand and Mott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Auville's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mott trying to control the position from guard on top but Auville is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mott passes Auville's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mott controlling the action here. Mott is keen to just control but Auville is a slippery customer.

Mott trying to control from half guard but Auville is working away. Mott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Auville's head. Auville is refusing to be controlled, as Mott sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mott throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Auville knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mott on the ground. Auville pushes Mott off looking to stand but Mott dives back in and keeps control.
Auville on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Auville tries to kick Mott off but Mott keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mott seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mott wants to take a breather but Auville is having none of it. Mott has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Poor strikes thrown by Mott there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Mott is landing with some decent strikes but Auville is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Mott wants to control the pace but Auville is squirming around nicely. Mott content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Auville takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Auville swings away with a body shot that misses
and Mott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mott trying to control but Auville is working from the bottom. Mott throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mott is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mott pushing down on Auville's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mott lands a big elbow. Mott tries to control but Auville wriggling away. Mott connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Mott is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Auville can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

And that's the end of the fight! John Mott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
