Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roger Pontare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrance Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Pontare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Terrance Smith!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pontare wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pontare thinking.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Smith gets caught napping as Pontare dives in and scores a takedown. Smith manages to retain guard.
Smith can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pontare controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pontare manages to get himself to full guard.
Smith trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pontare wants to stand but Smith is controlling the position.
Pontare keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
Pontare wriggles free and stands up.
Pontare slips under a jab.

The fight stays on the outside here - Pontare looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pontare avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pontare moves away from the strike by Smith.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Pontare sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pontare is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
Pontare takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pontare in his tracks.

Pontare wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith misses with an uppercut. Pontare saw that one coming.
Smith scores with a decent looking hook.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Smith scores with the left hand. Pontare knows he should have avoided that one.
Smith thuds a left hand into Pontare's body.
Terrance Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pontare takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terrance Smith dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Smith misses with a straight right.
Pontare shoots and misses
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pontare.
Pontare tries for a takedown but Smith circles away easily
and Pontare takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pontare wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a left to the body.

Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pontare.
Smith looks to land a combination. Pontare sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pontare is looking to clinch.
Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Pontare down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Pontare back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pontare takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Roger Pontare is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pontare takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Smith cracks Pontare with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pontare to stand back up!
Pontare takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith lands a nice looking body shot.
Smith catches Pontare with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nice jab there from Smith.
Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Pontare down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Pontare back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Pontare is rocked!

Pontare takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pontare walks into a straight right hand from Smith.
Smith bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A jab from Smith finds it's way through Pontare's defenses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith pounces like a tiger and cracks Pontare with a vicious hook! Pontare is down but not out! Smith follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Terrance Smith!
