PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Umipig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Nurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umipig comes into the arena with Loser blaring out of the sound system. Phil Nurse will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Umipig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phil Nurse!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Umipig tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nurse swivels and escapes.

Umipig closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nurse seems a little lost for a moment, as Umipig dominates the positioning.
Nurse is looking to reverse the position.
The referee asks Umipig politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Umipig prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brandon Umipig.
Umipig has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nurse.
A good leg kick by Nurse.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nurse delivers a nice body kick.
Umipig is breathing heavily.

Nurse lands a big head kick that sends Umipig tumbling to the mat! Nurse takes a step backwards and waves Umipig back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Umipig is rocked!

It looks like Brandon Umipig has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nurse fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Umipig.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nurse. That's going to slow Umipig down.
Umipig gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Nurse gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Umipig is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
