Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Cahoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Lincoln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lincoln has chosen Diamond Eyes as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calvin Cahoon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Lincoln! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lincoln avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cahoon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lincoln looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lincoln is trying to control but can't.
Cahoon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cahoon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lincoln for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Calvin Cahoon just wasn't active enough. Cahoon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lincoln throws a head kick that misses and Cahoon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lincoln's guard now. Lincoln is trying to control the position but Cahoon postures up. Lincoln had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cahoon defends it easily. Lincoln trying to control the position.
Lincoln looks gassed! Cahoon stands and steps away. Lincoln gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lincoln with a poor takedown and Cahoon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Well, if Cahoon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lincoln wants to stand back up but Cahoon manages to pass into side control.
Cahoon controls the position. Cahoon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cahoon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cahoon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lincoln tries to buck Cahoon off but Cahoon is having none of it. Cahoon decides to stand back up. Cahoon steps back and let's Lincoln get back to his feet. Cahoon looking to score a takedown here. Lincoln is defending well but Cahoon drives through and ends up in Lincoln's guard. Cahoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lincoln has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cahoon has managed to get both his arms back between Lincoln's legs - danger averted. Cahoon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cahoon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cahoon gets to his feet. Lincoln looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A momentary lapse in concentration from Lincoln enables Cahoon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lincoln manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cahoon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lincoln on the ground. Cahoon controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lincoln doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cahoon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Calvin Cahoon just wasn't active enough. Cahoon clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calvin Cahoon dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cahoon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lincoln! Cahoon raining down shots from the mount! Cahoon sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lincoln is breathing heavily. Cahoon landing shots from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cahoon content just to control the position here. Lincoln wants to hold on but Cahoon pushes him away. Cahoon is landing with some decent strikes but Lincoln is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cahoon is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Cahoon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lincoln! Cahoon get's back to his feet. Cahoon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lincoln was covering up waiting for the punch and Cahoon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Cahoon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cahoon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Calvin Cahoon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cahoon feints and as Lincoln raises his hands in defense, Cahoon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cahoon stopping the sweep attempt from Lincoln. Cahoon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Lincoln gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cahoon stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cahoon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cahoon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lincoln striking off his back but it's not causing Cahoon any problems. Lincoln wants to sweep here but Cahoon controlling him for the moment. Cahoon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lincoln's head. Lincoln looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cahoon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cahoon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cahoon clinches up with Lincoln and pushes him back against the cage. Cahoon has Lincoln pushed against the cage. Lincoln is trying to break free. Lincoln tries for a takedown but Cahoon manages to get underhooks.
Cahoon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Cahoon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lincoln's efforts to push away. Cahoon lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lincoln actively working from the bottom here. Lincoln takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cahoon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Lincoln to get to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lincoln gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cahoon to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cahoon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lincoln, up you get! Cahoon has managed to clinch.
Lincoln is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cahoon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lincoln to the mat. Lincoln regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Cahoon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Calvin Cahoon wasn't doing enough on the ground. Cahoon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lincoln is trying to defend but Cahoon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cahoon controlling the action here. Cahoon is pressing down on Lincoln's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lincoln is holding on for now. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cahoon seems to be working for a kimura but Lincoln defends the submission attempt. Cahoon moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Lincoln. Lincoln is trying to improve his position. Sam Lincoln has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Calvin Cahoon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lincoln trying to remain calm as Cahoon controls from the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Calvin Cahoon showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cahoon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
