The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Demeray.
Mitchell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mitchell is looking to take a break and control but Demeray is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mitchell throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Mitchell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Demeray's legs.
Mitchell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mitchell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Demeray, who protects the arm well.
Demeray is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mitchell asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Mitchell takes a little break here. Demeray wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
