Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robb Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Tomson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tomson wants it to stay on the feet.
Tomson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A slapping body kick lands there for Tomson.
Tomson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tomson leaves Flynn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robb Flynn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tomson swinging wildly here.
Tomson lands a leg kick that knocks Flynn off balance momentarily.
Flynn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Flynn walks forward, straight into a front kick from Tomson.
Robb Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tomson lands with a nice body punch.
Flynn tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Tomson is looking to land body kicks.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tomson, right into the meat.
Flynn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tomson's waist but Tomson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flynn off to one side.
Flynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tomson as he jumps to the side.
Tomson just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tomson connects with the punch.
Flynn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Flynn there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tomson connects with a body shot that sends Flynn's belly button to the back.
Tomson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Flynn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tomson wants to sweep but no luck.
Flynn is posturing up here but Tomson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Flynn tries to roll out but it's too tight and Flynn has to tap! Slick submission there by Tomson!
