Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Sorrentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Alard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Sorrentino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Alard! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sorrentino fails with the takedown and Alard counters with a single leg into guard. Sorrentino didn't expect that. Sorrentino looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Alard trying to control the position from guard on top but Sorrentino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sorrentino working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Alard has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sorrentino doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alard. Alard is working for a kimura but Sorrentino is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sorrentino is not content to let Alard control the position. Alard lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sorrentino is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Alard scores with a couple of nice shots. Alard landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Sorrentino is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Alard scores with a couple of nice shots. Sorrentino has hold of Alard's hands but Alard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alard connects with a nice short shot to Sorrentino's temple. Alard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Alard trying to control from half guard but Sorrentino is working away. Alard stalling. Alard has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sorrentino defend it? Alard steps over the head and cranks it - Sorrentino is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Alard!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Aaron Alard!
