Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucky Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Rhea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre wants to clinch up but Rhea keeps it at a distance.
Rhea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pierre lunges at Rhea with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rhea's hand.
Pierre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pierre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pierre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rhea tries a head kick but it misses.

Rhea has closed the distance and engaged Pierre in a clinch.

Pierre is trying to escape the position but Rhea is controlling the position.

Rhea cracks Pierre with a big right hand but Pierre just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
A lull in the action here as Rhea stalls from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rhea grinds an elbow into Pierre's temple.

Rhea stands up and beckons Pierre to his feet.
Rhea stuffs the takedown attempt from Pierre. Pierre gets slowly back to his feet.
Rhea fails with the takedown.
Rhea tries to clinch up.
Pierre thows a body shot but no joy.
Pierre tries a head kick but it misses.
Rhea shoots in for a takedown but Pierre shows good takedown defense.

Pierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rhea tries to avoid it but Pierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rhea to the ground. Rhea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pierre changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rhea fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pierre throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rhea blocks it with crossed arms.
Pierre tries for a takedown but Rhea manages to get underhooks.

Rhea breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Rhea counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pierre is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rhea throws a sloppy head kick and Pierre moves out of range easily.

Rhea shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pierre as he jumps to the side.

Rhea has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pierre should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rhea has tightened it up now! Pierre should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
